Cecil Peak Windy Heli-Elopement

Rochelle and Sam travelled from Australia to get married on top of Cecil Peak on a stormy day. They got ready at a historic cottage in Arrowtown and then flew up to Cecil Peak to exchange vows but it was so windy we decided to just get some epic photos and then hold their ceremony in a pine forest on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. What I loved about this couple was their love of adventure. They fully embraced the howling wind and weather on top of the mountain. It filled them with a child-like joy to be in the eye of a storm! They met at as teenagers as they were both in bands, so had been eyeing each other up for awhile before exchanging a drunken kiss at a party. Fast forward a decade and they have built beautiful lives together, are madly, deeply in love and wanted to do something authentic and real for their wedding. So they chose to come to Queenstown to have an adventure!
